Emotional troubles contribute to physical illness, because, as studies have shown, the mind, emotions and the physical body are all interrelated, and a dysfunction in one area will create a dysfunction in another. This also makes the job of the psychologist as important as the medical doctor. If you want to stay healthy (and reduce the costs of your health services and health insurance premiums), you should also pay attention to what goes on in your mind and in your feelings.
